Display Room Move Reason for Complimentary Room Type Upgrades

Stay is enhanced to allow users to select a room move reason to be applied when a complimentary room type upgrade is performed for a guest before the reservation is checked in. The room move reason configured will be displayed in the following areas of the reservation:

• Guest Stay History section

• Modified indicator in the Reservation Summary section

To support this enhancement, a new field, Complimentary Upgrade Reason, has been added to the Room Move Reason Settings section of the Room Move Reason screen (All Settings ➜ Reservations ➜ Room Move Reasons ➜ Setup) when the Display Loyalty Complimentary Upgrade Award in Reservation flag in the Setup tab of the Loyalty Programs screen (All Settings ➜ General ➜ Loyalty Programs) is enabled. This is a single-select drop-down list that displays all the active room move reasons configured at the property.

When a complimentary room type upgrade is approved for a guest and the reservation’s room type is upgraded, the room move reason selected in the Complimentary Upgrade Reason field will be displayed in the mentioned areas of the reservation.
